Insight into the current traffic situation is crucial for roadworks and events. Knowing how traffic flows and where to take action helps ensure smooth traffic movement during roadworks or toward events. The Premium dashboards supports this by using various data sources from government agencies and navigation system users.

During roadworks, it is essential to keep traffic flowing. By closely monitoring detour routes and responding immediately with appropriate traffic measures, you ensure that passers-by keep moving. When combined with navigation guidance options—available in nearly all navigation systems via our Traffic Reportal or the Waze Community—you have a unique set of tools at your disposal to manage traffic effectively.

During (large-scale) roadworks, it is important to prevent excessive congestion and keep vehicle delay times and loss hours to a minimum. Within the available margins, we monitor how routes are performing and assess the effectiveness of current detour routes. By linking this to KPIs, it becomes easy and clear to identify current bottlenecks and determine how to address them.

Additional congestion can also be prevented thanks to faster incident detection in the managed area. This is made possible by incident reports from Waze, the police, or road authorities. This information is displayed in real time in our dashboard, allowing road authorities such as Rijkswaterstaat, the police, or traffic controllers to respond immediately.

This dashboard can be expanded with the ‘Historical Data’ module. This module stores the displayed data for a specific period, making trends visible and enabling post-event analysis. It supports the development of future approaches and the formulation of policy decisions.
