For the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rijkswaterstaat.nl\/wegen\/projectenoverzicht\/a73-groot-onderhoud-tussen-knooppunt-ewijk-en-wijchen\">A73 project<\/a>, we implemented three targeted campaigns using Online Traffic Management (OTM) to inform drivers and local residents in a timely manner and to improve overall traffic flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From 10 May to 4 July 2025, we ran online campaigns both before and during the works, focusing on awareness, route choice, and traffic safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Multi-channel campaigns for maximum reach<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To reach the right target groups, we used a mix of online channels, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Waze<\/strong> and <strong>Flitsmeister<\/strong> for direct interaction with drivers on the road<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Spotify<\/strong> and <strong>Online Radio<\/strong> to engage listeners during their commute<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Meta (Facebook and Instagram)<\/strong> and <strong>Google Display<\/strong> for targeted awareness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to this integrated approach, millions of road users were effectively informed about the works, temporary closures, and detours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Real-time traffic information in navigation apps<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to public awareness campaigns, TripService actively contributed to improving traffic information in navigation systems such as <strong>Waze<\/strong> and <strong>Google Maps<\/strong>. This ensured that drivers received real-time updates on closures and current traffic situations, contributing to a safer and smoother A73.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Results and insights<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the project, we shared interim reports to provide insight into progress and results. This allowed both TripService and Rijkswaterstaat to monitor the impact of the ongoing campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the project concluded, a comprehensive final report was delivered, including concrete figures on reach, engagement, and click behaviour.
