We are building the bridge between public authorities and the navigation market as a partner in the TISGRADE project: Traffic management Information Services upgrade Europe. NDW, on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (IenW), submitted this proposal to the Connecting Europe Facility programme to make uniform, reliable traffic information available across Europe.
Our role: building bridges and feedback loops
At TripService, we connect governments with navigation service providers (such as Google Maps, TomTom, HERE and Be-Mobile), and — as in TISGRADE — we lay the foundation for public-private collaboration. We support the development and implementation of an automated feedback loop that provides insight into how navigation systems handle supplied data, including speed limits, roadworks, and circulation plans. This ensures real-time quality monitoring and continuous improvement.
What does this deliver?
What to expect
The project is expected to receive the green light by the end of this year. Pilots will then start in the Netherlands and other EU member states. Among other things, we will share circulation plans and test the feedback loop.
After successful pilots, the project will be rolled out on a large scale throughout Europe, with significant impact on the reliability of services and the mobility chain.
Our personal view
We believe in the power of collaboration: governments, data providers and navigation services must work together to make data truly valuable. With TISGRADE, we strengthen that collaboration and increase transparency in data usage. Together, we make mobility smarter and safer.
Result:
TripService is helping to realise the first automated feedback loops between governments and the navigation market within a European project — contributing to better traffic data for everyone.
