The A9 near Amsterdam has recently been undergoing partial modifications, with traffic now passing through tunnels. To handle this, we changed the route and map information in Waze and Google Maps with the help of the Waze Community. Consequently, road users are always kept fully informed and will not be faced with any unwelcome surprises.

During the period of strict coronavirus restrictions, many people turned to forests for distraction. Although generally a safe choice, it is not so much so if there are too many hikers there at the same time. Notifications in the Waze navigation app can help regulate the traffic in the forests of the southern part of the Netherlands.

We also worked with the volunteers on the dynamic operation of the car park entrances, so that visitors were always directed along the right route. Finally, our collaboration with Waze meant we managed to avoid a repeat of the huge traffic chaos seen the previous year. All surrounding residential areas were closed to event traffic and could only be accessed by local residents.
