De Feestfabriek has been working with TripService for six years to ensure that Zwarte Cross remains accessible before and during the event.

Since 2019, we’ve been using the Mobility Portal (Zwarte Cross Travel Planner) as a central tool to provide visitors with personalized travel advice. 

The Mobility Portal is a digital solution that helps event visitors travel smart and efficiently. Based on the visitor’s departure location, preferred mode of transport (with CO₂ impact taken into account), and real-time information such as traffic congestion or roadworks, users receive tailored and up-to-date travel advice. This not only enhances the visitor experience, but also helps reduce traffic pressure in the surrounding area.

This year, De Feestfabriek will use our Event Traffic Dashboard again. Through this dashboard, they can monitor real-time traffic congestion, delays, and any incidents around the Zwarte Cross during the event.
All collected data is stored and can be used afterwards for evaluation purposes and to further optimize accessibility.

New this year is the integration of data generated by the Mobility Portal into the dashboard. This enhancement not only provides insight into the current traffic situation but also enables predictions regarding expected congestion and the modal split (distribution across different modes of transport).

Thanks to the close partnership and our deep understanding of the event, 90% of this year’s Mobility Portal was already prepared based on last year’s version. This allowed us to quickly align the remaining 10% and deliver it efficiently. The mobility portal is now live at: https://www.zwartecross.nl/info/zwarte-cross-reisplanner

For each edition, we jointly determine the go-live moment, evaluate afterwards, and keep the tool up to date. This ensures that the portal is not only technically sound, but also truly aligned with the needs of both visitors and the organization.
