How do you inform visitors to an area or event about their travel options while influencing their travel behavior? The Mobility Portal makes this possible. By entering a departure address (e.g., the user’s current location) and a destination (e.g., an event, a popular attraction, or the city center), an overview of all travel options is immediately displayed. This includes not only the travel options you’d find on Google Maps or other route planners but also those specifically recommended by the destination.
For example, a recommendation might include a Park and Ride (P+R) location that has a direct train connection to the destination or organized bus transportation to an event. The destination partly determines which travel advice the visitor receives, making the Mobility Portal a useful tool for guiding visitors toward the desired travel behavior. It also allows for configuring the best driving routes to parking locations from different directions, helping manage visitor traffic in advance and reducing congestion on the event day.
Some features of the Mobility Portal:
The Mobility Portal adapts to the phase in which the user is in their customer journey. Is the user booking a ticket for an event happening in four months? Or does the user want to visit a popular attraction today and needs current travel advice? Each phase allows for travel advice requests, with the information provided varying depending on the phase.
